couponing for education

How exciting was my daughter who came home and said look mom i got a free coupon book. What a great way to help support the school and save money at the same time. Tons of great coupons and I sure did use some already. I love these fundraising ideas so much easier than selling items.

Changes

So after getting this new awesome site and me being slow to catch on I'm switching most of my couponing to just my blogging and tsu. So that I can connect more and not flood my family and friends feed on Instagram specially since I do not do Facebook... and with this switch I will be doing a Giveaway with 2 different prizes one for my followers and one for family unless there's not alot of people who don't have one yet but if you don't you so need to go get one...

Hey, join me on tsÅ«, a social network that shares the revenues with us. Check it out: www.tsu.co/jewishmomblog

Dollar General penny items

Well yesterday I spent the majority of the day at 4 different dollar generals... alot of the summer and spring yellow and white dot items went down to a penny. With all that I was purchasing not only for my family of 4 but my brothers, uncles, friends and their family plus my main goal items to be donated. I wanted my kids to know the real meaning of a blessing. To know how to bless other that may need it and to know how blessed our family truly is. While talking to the cashier at one of the dollar generals as I checked out they said "...TIS' THE SEASON" I wanted to say sooo badly every season is a season to give, not just because people celebrate Christmas. Everyone should give the gift of a blessing everyday. A smile or a laugh can make someones day who was upset. Boom you just helped  someone who was blue. I mean I've been seeing these challenges for November where you say what you are thankfully for. Well how about a month of doing one kind thing a day for random people. I think that would be so buzz worthy to have everyone try and do. It's not about spending money either when saying to do kind things help someone with their groceries, pump an elders gas when it's cold, mow a neighbors yard that may not be able to do it themselves, everyone has heard of the Starbucks Coffee buying the person behind you order there's so much you could do. But for me I'm having my kids go with me to donate different items to 2 safe houses here in our town. Both are woman and children shelters/safe houses. I know there is others but those are the ones we decided to take items to this time. Maybe your dg has items too and you can find something and just give it to any charitable organization.

Here are some pictures of my finds and process of organizing everything I've gotten.
by the way it's like a tressure hunt looking for certain dot items lol...so happy hunting!

Mucinex Multi Symptom Cold (review of product)

I recently had the chance to try the Mucinex multi symptom cold medicine for children. When I accepted the mission from smiley 360 I wasn't sure I was going to be able to use it and give a good review due to my children not being sick. The days before I received it my daughter who is  7 years old started to have a cough. When I recieved it in the mail she was completely sick and it was the start of the weekend. So 1st instinct was to try the mucinex. My daughter hates medicine tastes but she said she didn't mind this one and didn't need a drink like usually plus didn't give a fight to take it. The medicine didn't take away all the coughing and congestion or aches and pains but helppedal with keeping them under control till we were able to go to the doctors Monday. Even after going to the doctors which she got an antibiotic we still gave her the mucinex which helped alot. I used to use mucinex for myself but for sure now I will be purchasing for both my children my husband and myself. I would recommend this to all from my experience with it.
So here is my current situation. One of my best friends since high school. Over 14 years being friends, now saying that makes me feel so old even though I'm only 28. Well she gave me tons of clothes which I thankful hung up already, after going through my clothes as well. With that when I was choosing what to take from her clothes she was shocked that I didn't want shorts or anything above the knee, no real arm showing fashion unless able to cover up with something, no cleavage showing, no tight fitting garments either and my no cross or holiday themed clothing. I know she understood why but how do you tell people when they offer things to you or give you things you cant use? Is there a way to do it without hurting them or without having to get into detail why you live a certain way? Not saying they can't understand but alot question the unknown the "not norm" not saying what we do are not normal but due to today's society shorter is better more skin less clothes and croses and skulls are everywhere specially on clothing now more than ever. But if ever I'm asked I sure will state why I made my change why I want to live modesty. I'm married for one why do I want anyone looking  at my body but my husband?!? And for my daughter I don't want her to think a guy will only like you because of your body. Your eyes are the window to your soul and your heart and mind. Have people like you and look at you not because of how you dress but because of your entire self beauty. Your beauty within your heart your personality..plus throughout the torah  (bible) it's stated many times of modesty.

Now wit getting all new clothes I Decided to go through my clothing as well so I can give to those who don't have. My favorite to give to is the safe house for women who have been in bad relationships or situations. now think about what you have in your closet do you really wear everything in your closet? Maybe even if just a few items that you find donate them. I dunno about where yall live but here we have donation boxes scattered around the town which is so easy to do u just drop them off and drive on.

starting to get items for hanukkah... Cheap games at toysrus

So there was some Hasbro game coupons in the newspaper today and with that there is also some to be printed from coupons.com I found on one of my favorite sites freestufffinder.com a great deal for the games and coupons... first thing that popped into my head was hanukkah presents... these prices are at toysrus but I don't have one very close but I will be price matching either at target or walmart depending on how many people I want to deal with.

I personally won't be spending over 7 for a game just because that's my stock up price is below $7. Yours may be different. I was telling my non-jewish family about this deal and before I finished they were like OMG that's great for Christmas...It was like face to palm. I laughed it off and said yea if we celebrated Christmas lol... I said it could be birthday or hanukkah presents.

My question I have in my mind is... how do you really deal with the upcoming holidays since we don't celebrate like everyone else?

About me

So I figured how I should start my blog is tell everyone a little about me and why I wanted to make a blog. Well I'm a stay at home mom and wife of 2 kiddos and one loving husband. I went from being a Christian with celebrating every holiday, dressing in the latest shortest/sometimes revealing clothing eating whatever I wanted with no care in the world; to a messianic jewish woman eating kosher and organic or natural as well as dressing fashionably modest in today's society as well as celebrating only the feast of the torah. I wanted to start my blog not only to talk about the things I come across being a jewish mom but because I'm also a couponer which sometimes raises it's challenges wit eating kosher wanting to do more natural and organic food and products as well. I really hope everyone  enjoys what I will be writing about from my dealing with public schooling system, eating kosher, non jewish family and friends, keeping our beliefs and raising children in a non jewish community, dealing with criticism from my choice of head coverings, crafts for the family, inexpensive family fun stuff, saving money and still having everything you and your family may want without breaking the bank and soo much more...
